Gives the "feel" of a traditional book to the Reader...easy to hold and provides excellent protection as well. Putting the cover on the reader is a no brainer...just clips in. The light is excellent for reading, no glare and solves the problem of no back lighting...sleek, slim and I've no regrets in indulging myself and trading up from the padded sleeve that I had originally. -- A great accessory
I purchased my Sony Touch Edition Cover via this website two months ago and have taken it on several trips with me. After some solid road time I can honestly say there is definitely room for a lot of improvement.

The thinly padded black, leatherette PRSACL6 is outfitted with a plastic bracket that snaps into the mounting ports on the top and bottom of my eReader and binds the unit to the cover. It does a good job of holding my E Reader in place but I remain wary of the use of plastic. Its a given that the thin padding is not going to protect my eReader from hard impact.

I found no mention of this in the instructions or via the company's website, but there are four magnets installed on the corners of the cover. Obviously there for secure closing, this could cause big problems for any electronic media placed near it.

A sliding power switch with two brightness settings operate the flex neck LED light. Powered by one AAA battery, the flex light does an average job of providing illumination. No matter of the positioning level, there is a small amount of glare. So far I've gotten some great mileage from the original battery.

Besides the magnet issue that I noted earlier, this product still has an unfinished feel about it. Even though it protects the front and back of my E Reader, it still leaves vital ports located on the top and bottom plus the stylus slot exposed. An enclosed cover would have been ideal. In the meantime, I have to designate a dedicated storage area in my briefcase or backpack just for my E Reader.

The Sony PRSACL6 comes with instructions, one AAA battery and a one year limited manufacturer's warranty. Sony's website is usually loaded with user friendly product data. Information on this product is practically nonexistent. On the bright side there is a toll free customer support number posted.

It is without question that this product was rushed to market. Unfortunately, until there is an improved version by either Sony or perhaps an outfit like Case Logic, buyers have to settle for limited or no protection. For the price, I was expecting more. -- Limited Protection
This product is good and essential when you buy a reader since it protects the reader in case you drop it, while it also makes reading in the dark possible, which is wonderful. The battery lasts very long too. So far I have used it for over 50 hours with the same battery (one AAA). However, there is one aspect that deserves attention. I accidentally left it next to my mobile phone in my bag and my mobile phone went absolutely crazy, which forced me to hard reset it. After analyzing carefully what had possibly caused it I realized this cover has magnets on its lid corners and I believe this is what caused the malfunction of my mobile phone. I don't think this is the only device that causes malfunction of mobile phones, or at least, my mobile phone. I know someone who has a Sony Reader Pocket with the same cover with light and a Palm Centro phone who has had this problem over and over again. I take advantage to mention that I can never leave my kindle's 3G on in the same conditions, otherwise my mobile phone (Palm Treo Pro) will certainly need to be hard reset. For those of you who have the latest Sony 900 model, which has 3G, with a similar cover, I believe you have 2 potential sources of problems in neighbouring electronic devices, so keep them well apart. Otherwise, a must! -- Sony 600 Reader cover with light
I am enjoying my eReader more than I thought I would. I like knowing that I am carrying around a 1000 page book in my purse and it's not at all heavy or bulky! -- eReading...who knew???
