It probably should have been a part of the Amazon Kindle "book covers" design---but it wasn't---so if you buy one of their covers (especially the one for the Kindle DX), YOU NEED THIS! Think about how many times you opened a legal- or letter-sized portfolio from the BACK and spilled the contents. Eventually, you're going to do the same thing with the Amazon Kindle DX cover. There's no guarantee that you'll break the spine of the cover or crack the Kindle outer housing the first time you do this---but repeated abuses will damage something eventually. So - pop for the five bucks and rest assured that you're protecting your e-reader investment. -- You REALLY Should Get This...
Works perfectly and is easily adjustable if need be. Only wish it came in colors (chocolate brown in my situation) that matched Kindle's cases. Amazon should buy the rights to this little cover clip since it's such an easy solution for fixing the overlooked reverse-opening problem. -- A necessity for the Kindle
I was trying to figure out how I could add a little security to my Kindle cover so that no one could accidentally open the back cover and cause damage to the Kindle due to the hinges in the cover. My first thought was maybe to add Velcro or perhaps glue dots. Then I came across this Kindle clip! Less than $5 and free 2-day shipping from Prime pretty much sealed the deal for me. If it didn't work, I could always return it. UPS just delivered the clip and it works! Now I have a little peace of mind that my K3 is save. I added three pictures to the "Customer Images" to show the clip on my Kindle Lighted Leather Cover, Black (Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6" Display Kindle). It's nothing fancy. This little clip may save you money. No more back flapping of my Amazon Kindle 2 cover, thus no more stress on the little poky things that hold my Kindle in its cover. It works exactly as it should. Mine is one of the earlier covers, without a stretchy band to keep it closed, but this clip eases my mind immensely. Cheap, functional, and sturdy. -- Simple and functional.
Works great. There is nothing worse than seeing your kindle crack becuse you opened the case accidentally from the back of it's leather case. This helps unless it gets pulled from the other end. Not likely though. $4.95 though? I dunno. -- It does what itr is supposed to do but at a price.
