I was under the impression that when the description stated that these were "DJ headphones" that they would in fact be such. This was not the case. The ear cups are not movable more than a degree or two, the output of the sound is not nearly as strong as it needs to be for a club setting, and the jack requires a 1/8" adapter for 90% of the mixers DJs use.

I would buy these for my 13 year old nephew to wear with his iPod. As a DJ, these are useless to me. -- Not for DJs

I have had a pair of these headphones for several years and mine just cracked as well. I use them at my computer and nothing else.

So, I sent them back and they were replaced in about a week. Not only did they replace my old Hesh headphones with a new one, they did it in record time.

Overall, these headphones are great. Until they cracked, there was nothing wrong with them. The sound is great, giving you a real immersion in the sound. I like to listen to a variety of music (musicals, heavy metal, rock, Irish) and these headphones have great sound in every genre. The base is full and thumps when it needs to and the mid and high range have kick as well. My friend bought a pair of Bose headphones (for much more) and they are only marginally better than these. If I ever feel like replacing these headphones, I will probably upgrade to the SK Pro model, but these are wonderful, especially for the price. They are comfortable, even after wearing them for hours. -- Hesh

I am a professional DJ and needed a quick pair of headphones for an upcoming gig. I was looking for a new, cool, INEXPENSIVE pair of headphones. I have some Skullcandy Smokin' Bud earphones and really liked those, so thought I'd give their DJ ones a try.

In all I must say these are a decent pair of headphones. In a gig my headphones are on most of the night. I'd have to say these are NOT the most comfortable headphones I've used. I, PERSONALLY, cannot wear them for long periods of time. Also, they are a bit bulky. They are not as portable as headphones I'm used to.(Thought they were foldable) The material is NOT strong. (Plastic) Although, I've managed to keep mine in excellent condition, I cannot risk beating them down like my Pioneer or Stanton headphones.

The sound quality is OKAY. I feel for the size of the drivers, there could be more bass. The volume adjustment is nice, though I never use it. THE BIGGEST DOWN SIDE TO THESE HEAPHONES IS THE LENGTH OF THE CORD! Honestly Skullcandy, is a FOOT or so of cable going to get me anywhere?! They provide an extension, but that itself extends the cord a few more feet.

In all, for the price it is an OKAY pair. I could have honestly purchased a really nice set from Stanton for $10 less, but wanted to try these. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the design and give 5 Stars there. Otherwise, hope this review helps! -- Love the design
