I bought this for my Mom's kindle. I also bought a skin for it to keep it clean. The kindle inside the skin would not fit in this carrying case so I wasn't that happy with it. -- Fits too tight
This case works great to protect and carry my new Kindle. There's even an inside pocket, so if I wanted to, I could dispense with purse or wallet, put my ID in the case and go.
