It's pretty much the mainstream kind of thing, not the edge of design, but given the price it's perfectly OK. -- Good enough
I love this case. It's a perfect fit for my G-11 and does not try to shift the many operating buttons/dials when putting the camera away or removing it from the case.
However, I found that when the camera and case are worn on a belt, the "Clip-type' latch makes it impossible to remove the camera from the case with one hand. It takes both hands to release the latch. As a workaround I removed the latch and strap and sewed in a Velcro closure. This makes it easy to remove the camera and provides a secure closure as well.
The case is roomy enough to house the G-11 with an "Opteka Professional Wrist Grip Strap for Digital & Film SLR Cameras" ($9.95 on Amazon) attached to the camera.
(Wrist strap - http://www.amazon.com/Opteka-Professional-Wrist-Digital-Cameras/dp/B00166EUI0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277159365&sr=8-1 )
I deducted 1 star because of the latch. Lowepro is 5 Stars in almost everything they make.
UPDATE JULY 2010: Used the case with the G-11 for a number of field trips now. No complaints at all. Still a great case and buy. -- Great Case... But
This is a functional pouch but the plastic locking tabs are hard to undo single-handed, so I leave them undone all the time. The camera is such a snug fit that it is unlikely that it will fall out. I would have liked a pouch to have space for the neck strap when I don't want to use it. -- Barely usable.
