This is ideal for me since I am always on the go and flying constantly as a pilot. This has kept my nook in pristine condition, and has held up remarkably to wear and tear that I didn't expect it to. The soft foam material on the one side is fantastic for cushioning the nook screen. I did not attach mine to the inside using the hook and loop fasteners that it came with, so I cannot speak to their durability or usefullness. I use mine instead simply as a protective outer cover until I'm ready to use the nook, and in that regard it has been fantastic. If you are looking for a cover that will protect while traveling without adding a lot of weight, this will suit you well. -- Great for traveling
The case is built so strongly that I am 100% confident my Nook is fully protected during transit. The case is a bit heavy, but I suppose that is to be expected of this type of product. My only real complaint is that the price is a bit high. At this point one has little choice in quality Nook cases, so you're stuck in this price range until there is more competition in the Nook accessories market. -- It works as advertised, but a bit pricey....
This cover provides excellent protection for your nook. Unfortunately it's very heavy. Reading with it attached is relatively easy, but due to the added size and weight can be tiring.
The only quality issue in the case I see is that the handle appears to be weak compared to the rest of the case. I will probably avoid carrying it by the handle for fear the handle will tear off one day.
If you fly much, you really need one of these. This is probably the best protective case you could buy, but it comes at the price of weight, and the fact that the nook is semi-permanently attached to the case. You definitely don't want to try removing it from the case every time you want to read.
If the nook attached to the case in a different way (snap clips in the built-in slots, or perhaps tight elastic holding the corners) I would have given it 5 stars. A different mounting method that allowed easier removal from the case for daily reading would make it perfect. -- Great protection at a price
I got a new Nook at Christmas and quickly learned that it's vulnerable in its uncovered state.
I fashioned a padded cover for it and then started thinking about what I'd like to see in a real one. Ballistic nylon cover, zipper around three sides, padded inside and a spine-length strap to use to hold it while using it.
I looked on Barnes & Noble and didn't see anything so I checked Amazon and voila, there it was, the BookArmor.
