When I recently purchased a barely used Kindle DX, as part of the deal, I ended up with 3 covers:
1. An M-edge one (but in pebbled, not smooth, leather): M-Edge GO! Genuine Leather Kindle DX Jacket (Fits 9.7" Display, Latest Generation Kindle DX), Smooth Black
2. This item, An M-edge knock off in synthetic, scarlet red leather.
3. An OCTO faux leather slip over: OCTO Faux Leather Slip Cover (Fits 9.7" Display, Latest Generation Kindle DX) - Dark Brown
My personal preference is the OCTO because I like to read my DX without a cover and it just slips in and out of that one easily. But I do like this synthetic leather one as well. It is lightweight and appears to be very nicely made. The stitching is all even and secure. I think it is a little lighter than the M-edge leather cover. Has all the same pockets on the inside and a place for your light, too. I have the Scarlet Red color and I do like the color, but it tends to show up the "synthetic" nature of the cover material a bit more than if it had been a darker color like black. Still...when you compare the price to that of the M-Edge cover, I think it is a fantastic buy. If your cover is not going to take a lot of rough use, I'd say this is a super alternative to the over-twice-as-much M-edge cover. Even though I'm not using this one daily, I do keep it for times when I'd rather my DX didn't grab a lot of attention. -- Great value on a cover for the DX
